South Gibson County High School is a comprehensive high school that opened its doors in August of 2009 to a freshman and sophomore class and an initial enrollment of approximately 250 students.

SGC provides a challenging and comprehensive curriculum that is aligned with the new and rigorous Tennessee standards.  Innovative, engaging and research-based instructional strategies are utilitized in the classrooms in order to maximize student learning and to meet the unique and individual academic, social and emotional needs of all students within a 90-minute block.  As teachers at SGC believe that grading must reflect student learning, a significant emphasis has been placed on academic student support.

South Gibson County High School invites you to come visit us and see for yourself the great things that happen in our school every day.  Check our website often and watch for updates as we continue to explore ways to make “SGC…the best place to be!”
