Parks & Recreation

Recreation is a very important factor in the growth and economic development of the City of Medina. The recreational needs for the youth of our city are a very important consideration. Our community’s youth are very active in softball, baseball, soccer, football, and cheerleading.

Medina’s residential growth is largely attributed to our state-of-the-art educational opportunities for children Pre-K through 12th grade. Thus, the need for additional recreational facilities are a high priority.

Medina Sports Complex

In order to meet the needs of a growing family population, the Sports Complex was constructed at 1400 Middle School Street.  Covering 30+ acres, the Sports Complex includes a recreational facility with a baseball/softball complex with a walking track, pavilion, and playground area.

Sports and recreational activities are an essential part of growing up healthy and well-rounded. Not only do sports offer and promote exercise, but they also teach teamwork and coping skills.

Baseball and softball are very big in the City of Medina. Many of the young players go on to play these sports in high school and college and add to their success in life.

The City of Medina is committed to promoting a healthy active life through sports. A new, state-of-the-art Sports Complex is a hub of activity in Medina. For more information about the Sports Complex, select the link to the left.
